Location of the district

The list of cultural monuments in Hartau (Zittau) contains the cultural monuments of the Zittau district of Hartau that were recorded by the State Office for Monument Preservation of Saxony until April 2019 (excluding archaeological cultural monuments). The notes are to be observed.

The original nail column is still part of the current trigonometric networks today. It is a cylindrical sandstone column with an octagonal base. The column is slightly beveled at the top. Its shape corresponds to the column on the Spitzberg. The column can be found on a free-standing rock called the fox pulpit. Due to the large number of visitors, name incisions were made in many places on the surface of the column, which damaged the surface of the stone and in some cases the original lettering. The inscription "Station / STRASSBERG / der /..../ Triangulirung / 1864" points to the south. Here, too, the original addition “Kön. Sächs. ”Carved out of the column. Scraps from a previously existing cover can be found on the upper edge of the column. A metal cross is screwed to the head of the column, which may protect the center marking or can accommodate a special target marking. The marking point of a former height bolt (was it available?) Has been plastered. The views in the direction of the network points (northern direction) are apparently free of any obstructions.	09305028

• The official list of cultural monuments is never closed. It is permanently changed through clarifications, new additions or deletions. A transfer of such changes to this list is not guaranteed at the moment.
• The monument quality of an object does not depend on its entry in this or the official list. Objects that are not listed can also be monuments.
• Basically, the property of a monument extends to the substance and appearance as a whole, including the interior. Deviating applies if only parts are expressly protected (e.g. the facade).
