Mühlenwerke Oelsitz (mill with mill ditch and weir as well as house with a small front garden, parts of the mill equipment have been preserved) Riesaer Strasse 25
(map)
2nd half of the 19th century (mill) Representative main building around 1910 including extension (this half-timbered structure with adobe infill at the beginning of the 19th century), especially due to its towering silo front, dominating the center of the village with an effect on the landscape towards Jahnishausen, meaning for the local history, the site and the history of technology.

The mill building appears as a three- and four-story brick building with a plastered facade. This is followed by a two-storey half-timbered extension with adobe infill. There is a loading ramp on the courtyard side. Windows, doors and gates are original. The house on the street has two storeys, has artificial stone walls and has a partial basement. In front of it there is a small front garden. The Mühlgraben and the weir are located southeast of the group of buildings.

The mill building, visible from afar, shows the usual structure of a grain mill with several floors (floors) for milling and cleaning, transmission cellar, grinding or roller mill floor, tube floor, plan sifter floor and attic. The technology has only survived in rudimentary form. There is a shooter in the basement. There are two units on the floor of the roller frame, a roller frame and a crusher for semolina and feed. In most cases, only fragmentary pieces follow on the tube sheet and the plan sifter base, including elevators , bagging, brake lift and distribution auger or aspirator . Other units appear to be in a very bad condition, such as a broken door and a defective brush machine (January 18, 2008). The mill location is older than the main building erected in 1911 (actual mill building). In Values of Our Homeland , Vol. 30, it is mentioned that the mill “already worked in 1661 with 3 grinding courses and one oil course”. Older than the main building are the residential building and the angular farm building (not recorded as a cultural monument) on the street, as well as the two-storey eastern extension with half-timbering. As can be seen from a historical view around 1910, the eastern extension was originally longer. The buildings mentioned date mainly from the second half of the 19th century. The substance from 1661 has probably not been preserved. The eastern wing of the mill building erected in 1911 was later partially extended, and the attic was made into a full storey.
