1. ↑ Residential mill house: sandstone window frames, belt cornices and remnants of plastered structure, front door granite walls with the inscription "CG Rentsch" in the segmental arch, grinding house extension raised by two floors, with hipped roof, with existing technology, wheel chamber along the connecting structure, inscription "Ora et labora" the window parapet, millstone walled into the base, two double roller mills (approx. 1940s), grinding room available, all technology not yet inspected, cutting mill: relatively wide building, half-hip roof, broken stone base, wheel chamber in the rubble stone masonry with desolate waterwheel remains, on the bottom of the grinding or roller frame ( Grinding room) two roller mills and a crusher, as well as elevators and pouring devices.
2. ↑ Monument text: Central German residential stable house with a characteristic floor plan in the residential part, hall and stable / farm part and timber-framed upper floor typical of the region (almost completely preserved and intact), built around 1800 as a farmhouse of a hoof structural element of the forest hoof village of Polenz. Large quarry stone barrel vault as a cellar, the massive ground floor made of brick masonry (only the mountain side made of field stone) shows construction work around 100 years ago, during which the floor plan was slightly changed and possibly a surrounding structure was removed. Scratched natural stone walls, the stable door and the linearly integrated barn part are already clearly recognizable from the outside in their former function. The Prussian cap vault of the stable part should also be evidence of the genetic renovation. Saddle roof as a cold roof with a lying roof truss, wind panes in the rafter area, the twelve trusses are provided with carpenter's mark, here also the barn extension can be clearly distinguished from the old building structure by means of sawn beams. Significance in terms of architectural history and the history of local development, relic of a building type that was once typical of the region in a changed environment. (LfD / 2014).
3. ↑ Monument text: The cross-section of the mill ditch, which was widened and concreted in during GDR times, originally supplied the impact water for a grinding mill and later cutting mill in Polenz, which has been on record since 1570 . From 1870, the production of hard cardboard was also started in the so-called Niedermühle. In 1928 the hard cardboard factory expanded and became the first manufacturer of loudspeaker cones in Germany to start producing cast fiber. After the Second World War, the company was transformed into VEB Hartpappenwerk & Fasergusswerk Polenz. In the period that followed, the mill ditch was widened and provided with settling basins to pre-settle the impact water for the company's turbine. The company, which has been trading as a GmbH since 1990, used the industrial site until its bankruptcy in 1991, after which the facilities fell into disrepair.
   The weir , the plate gate and parts of the Mühlgraben are today as technical relics the last evidence of the use of hydropower by the original commercial settlement along the Polenz and document the structural adaptation of the necessary technical systems to the needs of the changing energy generation systems. Wehr, Schütz and Mühlgraben form a functional unit that has a significant impact on the townscape and is an experience and memory value. (LfD / 2012).
