Beeches at Graben in the Eschweiler Forest Book 09/13/1991 These old beeches, standing individually by the ditch, were sawed off several decades ago in the trunk area. Strange bulges formed in these places. In addition, the trees have widely spreading crowns and thus have a rare and beautiful habit. Age of the beeches over 100 years.

Oak and beech trees in the Eschweiler Forest Oaks , beeches 09/13/1991 Probably the oldest group of trees in the Eschweiler urban area. They are by a tremendous growth and a very

marked old age. They are also significant from a cultural and historical point of view, as Moroccan soldiers cut characters into their bark in the years after the First World War that are still visible today. The oak stock is approx. 175 years old, the beech stock over 225 years.
