Catholic worship was reintroduced from 1635 to 1644. They received spiritual support from the Maulbronn monks. The abbot of Maulbronn Monastery did not tolerate Protestant pastors, which is why he locked the church in Ötisheim and kept the key with him. From 1644 to 1648 there was the Protestant service again, supported by Dürrmenz .
