May 30, 2009 Stolpersteingeorgbiegblieskastel.jpg Georg (born 1908) and Otto Bieg (born 1910) were both arrested on December 13, 1937. They were charged with communist activities. After being denounced by the mayor, Georg was transferred to the Dachau concentration camp , where he was conscripted as a medic. During his work, which saved the lives of many prisoners, he became infected with typhus and died on January 24, 1945. Otto was drafted into military service after his imprisonment on the Lerchesflur , but refused and was shot dead on July 11, 1944 .

Fanny Joseph was a nuisance for Mayor Peter Kolb because he wanted to keep his community “free of Jews”. In the course of the evacuation of the red zone , he wanted to keep his community “free of Jews”. As a native of France, however, the 80-year-old was allowed to re-enter. Kolb tried to have her deported, but she was ultimately deported in 1943 and murdered in the Theresienstadt ghetto on April 5, 1944 .
