Starting in the north, the district is bounded clockwise as follows: Rhine-Herne Canal to Osterfeld and Vonderort, Vondernstrasse, Duisburg-Wedau-Bottrop Süd and Ripshorster Strasse to the Dellwig district of Essen and Wedau-Bottrop Süd and Osterfelder Strasse to Neuen Middle Oberhausen .
