List of bearers of the Federal Cross of Merit (exceptional awards)
This list lists the holders of the Federal Cross of Merit whose awards exceptions to the general award regulations have been made.
- First awards to people under 40 years of age only at the lowest level → Medal of Merit
- First awards to people who have reached the age of 40, maximum the second level. → Cross of Merit on ribbon
- First awards to people who have reached the age of 65, in justified cases the age of 55, maximum the third level. → Cross of Merit 1st Class
- First awards to people who have reached the age of 70, in justified cases the age of 60, maximum the fourth level. → Great Cross of Merit
- Awarded only to living persons, no posthumous award
- The Cross of Merit 1st Class and the Great Cross of Merit are awarded no earlier than 4 years, the higher order levels no earlier than 3 years after the previous award.
