List of the investigation committees of the Saxon state parliament

The list of investigative committees of the Saxon Landtag includes all investigative committees that the Saxon Landtag has formed since 1990.

Divided by legislative period, the respective committee is named, its investigative mandate is mentioned and the period of its meetings is listed. Apart from the 1st electoral period, the committees of inquiry in the state parliament of Saxony are numbered in every electoral period, for example 1st committee of inquiry and 2nd committee of inquiry. In addition, there was a special committee which, according to the “Law on the Legal Status and Powers of the Special Committee to Investigate Abuses of Office and Power as a Result of SED Rule” as an investigative committee, had the opportunity to constitute itself as an investigative committee.

1st electoral term (1990–1994)

  • Committee of Inquiry "Special Committee to Investigate Abuses of Office and Power as a Result of SED Rule" (1992–1994)
  • 2. Committee of Inquiry "Personnel Review of the State Government" (1993–1994)

2nd electoral term (1994–1999)

  • 1. Committee of Inquiry "Promotion of the Dairy Industry by the State Government" (1995–1997)
  • 2. Inquiry committee "Zweckverband Beilrode-Arzberg" (1996–1999)
  • 3. Committee of Inquiry "Administration of the State Minister for Science and Art" (1998–1999)

3rd parliamentary term (1999-2004)

  • 1. Investigation Committee "Paunsdorf Affair" (= so-called Paunsdorf Investigation Committee) (2000-2004)
  • 2. Investigative Committee " Sachsenring Affair " (= so-called Sachsenring Investigative Committee) (2000-2004)
