The church

Lledó ( Catalan : Lledó d'Algars ) is a Spanish municipality in the province of Teruel in the Autonomous Region of Aragón . It is located in the western foreland of the Ports de Tortosa-Beseit in the Comarca Matarraña (Matarranya) in the predominantly Catalan-speaking area of ​​the Franja de Aragón on the Río Algars on the border with Catalonia . On January 1, 2019, the community had 159 inhabitants.

In 1209 King Peter II of Aragón left the places Lledó and Arens de Lledó to the bishop of Tortosa for settlement.

At Lledó an arch bridge with four concrete arches crosses the Río Algars. The railway line of Ferrocarril del Val de Zafán , opened in 1942, had a station in Lledó; it was shut down in 1973. Today the Via Verde Val de Zafán runs along it, a popular destination for weekend trips.
