Peñarroya de Tastavins ( Catalan : Pena-roja de Tastavins ) is a Spanish municipality in the province of Teruel in the Autonomous Region of Aragón . It is located around 19 kilometers southwest of Valderrobres on the upper reaches of the Río Tastavins in the Comarca Matarraña (Matarranya) in the predominantly Catalan-speaking area of Franja de Aragón . It is part of the Mancomunitat de la Taula del Sénia . On January 1, 2019, the community had 439 inhabitants.
