La Codoñera ( Catalan : La Codonyera ) is a Spanish municipality in the province of Teruel in the Autonomous Region of Aragón . It is located around 15 kilometers southeast of Alcañiz on the Río Mezquín in the Comarca Bajo Aragón (Baix Aragó) in the predominantly Catalan-speaking area of Franja de Aragón . On January 1, 2019, the community had 336 inhabitants.
