Place on the Guadalope, tributary of the Ebro

Miravete de la Sierra is a small municipality in the Aragonese province of Teruel in Spain . According to official statistics, on January 1, 2019, there were 31 permanent residents here. The average age is well above the pension limit. But at least there are two children in the village thanks to a new tenant of the local bar. A bread cart comes twice a week. This would represent the economic life of the place comprehensively. The mayor works as a doctor in Saragossa during the day . However, the number of residents increases significantly in the summer months, holidays and weekends due to family visits (around 50 people).

history

On the hill above the village there was a Moorish castle, which was used by Christian friars before the demolition. Remains can be found in various houses in the community. The area was Christianized under King Alfonso II .

Specialty

In 2008, a pay-TV broadcaster tried to make the place in the least populated region of Spain known as a tourist destination nationwide through an advertising campaign. Hence a homepage in the name: the place where nothing ever happens. Among other things, he wants to provide proof of his range.
