Valdeltormo ( Catalan : La Vall de Tormo ) is a Spanish municipality in the province of Teruel in the Autonomous Region of Aragón . history
The settlement is proven by ceramic finds from the transition from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age . There were also several settlements during the Iberian era . The place finally came to the Crown of Aragon in 1168 under King Alfonso II . Ecclesiastically, Valdetormos belonged to Valjunquera until 1407 . In 1643 the place, which is closely linked to the Order of Calatrava , was plundered and pillaged. During the Spanish Civil War , the mayor (alcalde) and all council members were fusilated. In December 1947, the Maquis attacked a train on the Ferrocarril del Val de Zafán railway, which was closed in 1973 . The rural exodus led to a sharp decline in population.
