history
In 1248 King James I of Aragón Bello granted independence from Daroca and the place belonged to the "Sesma del Campo de Gallocanta" in the "Comunidad de Aldeas de Daroca", which was dissolved in 1838.
During the civil war there was a field airfield north of Bellos. This initially served as a base for the Italian Aviazione Legionaria during the Battle of Teruel in the winter of 1937/38, and parts of the German Condor Legion also used the site for a short time at the beginning of the Aragon offensive .
