List of investigative committees of the Saarland Landtag

The list of parliamentary investigative committees of the Saarland Landtag includes the investigative committees that the Saarland Landtag has set up since 1947.

1st electoral term (1947–1952)

In the first electoral term, the following committees of inquiry were decided, but not set up:

1. “Incidents with changes of ownership in saarl. Cinemas "
2. "House laying down in the course of the reorganization of the border communities"
3. "Review of an alleged unconstitutional content in the 'New Age' "
4. "Review of various incidents in the postal administration, veterinary administration and road construction administration"

2nd / 3rd Electoral term (1952–1961)

1. Investigation committee "IV Bergbau" to review the reasons that led to the dissolution of the mining industry association
2. Inquiry committee "Office for pricing" [5.6], appointed on January 27, 1955 for 36th plenary session (January 27, 1955)
3. Investigation committee "Saarländischer Rundfunk" [5.7], set up on January 17, 1956, 3rd plenary session (January 17, 1956)

The “Committee of Inquiry against the Members of Parliament Kratz u. Schwertner ”and the“ Schwertner investigative committee ”.

4th legislature (1961–1965)

1. Investigation committee "Jägersfreude und Luisenthal mine accident" to examine the circumstances that led to the accident in the Jägersfreude mine on August 22, 1961
2. Investigative Committee "Finance Court"

The committee of inquiry "Personnel review at the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution u. at the State Criminal Police Office ".

5th electoral term (1965–1970)

1. Investigative Committee "Road Construction Administration" to examine allegations against employees of the State Road Construction Office

6th legislative term (1970–1975)

1. Investigation committee “Saar-Bau-Union I” on the role of the state government and its representatives in the impending collapse of Saar-Bau-Union AG and the associated endangerment of around 700 jobs

7th legislative term (1975–1980)

1. Investigation committee "Saar-Bau-Union II"
2. Investigation committee "Landeskrankenhaus Homburg" on the type and scope of secondary activities of the employees of the university clinics in the Landeskrankenhaus Homburg, use of budget and third-party funds, violation of legal regulations by the Saarland Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians
3. Investigation committee "Ensdorf mine accident" to investigate the mine accident at the Ensdorf mine on November 24, 1976

8th legislative term (1980–1985)

1. Investigation committee "Mine accident Warndt" on the fire weather deflagration in the Warndt mine on September 16, 1980
2. "Hazardous waste" committee of inquiry into violations in the operation of the waste oil incineration plant GEVA in Schiffweiler and the waste incineration plant Neunkirchen with regard to the disposal of hazardous waste

9th legislative term (1985–1990)

1. Investigation committee “Abwasserverband Saar” on violations of tenders, awarding and accounting of contracts by the Abwasserverband Saar
2. Investigation committee "Fish mortality" to investigate the causes of fish mortality in the Saar from July 26, 1986
3. Investigation committee "District election Merzig" on agreements or purchase of votes in connection with the district election Merzig of August 30, 1986; Deployed on October 29, 1986
4. Investigative Committee "Wastewater Charges" ["RENITEX"] on allegations of bribery in connection with the enforcement of the Waste Water Charges Act against Renitex GmbH
5. Investigation committee “Aquadrom” on events surrounding the failure of the Aquadrom project, financial commitments from the city of Saarbrücken

10th electoral term (1990–1994),

1. Investigation committee "Biermann stay" to clarify the circumstances in connection with the accommodation of the former general director of Carl-Zeiss-Jena, Wolfgang Biermann and his wife in the house of the economics minister Hajo Hoffmann
2. Investigation committee "Tax enforcement in Saarland" for granting tax deferrals, tax rebates and tax exemptions to companies in Saarland
3. "Zeithammer" committee of inquiry on political responsibility for possible negative effects on tourism and world cultural heritage in Saarland in connection with the work of Franz Zeithammer
4. Investigation committee "Student residences" for the financing of student residences in Saarland, public funding, structural conditions. A final report was not submitted.

12th electoral term (1999-2004)

1. Investigation committee "Labor jurisdiction" on the political influence of the state government on the Saarland labor jurisdiction
2. Investigation committee “tax enforcement” on possible political influence in tax enforcement and surety practice of the CDU state government, in particular towards the Michels group

13th legislative term (2004–2009)

No committees of inquiry were set up in the 13th electoral term.

14th legislative term (2009-2012)
