The original branch of the Liebfrauenbergkirche in Rankweil was expanded in 1630 with a new church building as a foundation of the church caretaker Blasius Künzli and raised to a parish church in 1637. In 1896 the nave was enlarged by two yokes. The north-facing baroque church stands in a walled cemetery. The nave and the choir with a three-eighth closure are under a common gable roof.
