The stone chest sarcophagus with a gable roof commemorates Matthias Tarródy , who died in the Battle of Lackenbach in 1620 . The monument was erected in 1623. In 1953 the Tarródy memorial was moved to Bahnstraße and in 2012 to the castle park. |

Memorial to the Roma and Sinti murdered during National Socialism ObjectID : 67012 |
Ritzingerstraße / Bergstraße KG location : Lackenbach |
The memorial for the Roma and Sinti murdered during National Socialism commemorates the "Gypsy camp" set up by the National Socialists in an estate in November 1940, in which Roma and Sinti were interned under inhumane conditions. Of around 4,000 detained there, only 300 to 400 witnessed the liberation of the camp in 1945. The memorial was erected on October 6, 1984 not far from the former camp for the Roma and Sinti interned and deported here; the design was done by architect Matthias Szauer . |
