The castle was first mentioned as a castle in 1492, built as a moated castle in 1560 and, after being destroyed, brought into its current form in 1625. It consists of four wings, which are grouped around a two-storey arcade courtyard.

The local mountain three kilometers south of Deutschkreutz is called "Schlösselberg". It is a wooded hilltop that in the Middle Ages had a small castle called Bykug (Bykuk).

The parish church stands a little higher in the center of the village. The single-aisled hall church with the same width choir and the west tower is essentially baroque. In 1928 two aisles were added. In 1973 and 1974, the church was completely redesigned and redesigned, in which the artist Anton Lehmden contributed with a total of 35 works.

To the north of the parish church , where the pillory stood until around 1900, the war memorial was erected after the First World War in 1918 and after the end of the Second World War the names of those killed in it were added. The wooden fence was replaced by a wrought iron one. In the course of the redesign of the parish church in 1973/74, a new war memorial was erected at the cemetery next to the mortuary. In the original place in front of the church, the now listed obelisk was erected to replace the war memorial.

The Holy Trinity column in front of the parish church dates from the 1st half of the 18th century. The partially fluted column carries a mercy seat.

Very high quality, late baroque architecture built by the political community in 1805, somewhat separated from the neighboring houses. The gable front swings concavely towards the street with a strong continuous cornice , smooth, high triangular gable , crowned by a stone vase. Profiled arched portal with wedge stone and battlements ( sandstone ) including wrought iron lattice door . The longitudinally oval interior is crowned by a flat dome . On the east side three figure niches are left out, with the high baroque, less than life-size St. Nepomuk in the depiction of the Prague Canon as the middle figure. The long sides show bent arched windows.

The Jewish cemetery was laid out in 1759. In 1941, all gravestones were removed under National Socialism. 40 saved tombstones were brought back. At the cemetery there is also a mass grave of around 265 Hungarian Jews from the end of the Second World War.

The Gruber Cross is a Pietà column, according to the inscription from 1671. The column is decorated with the instruments of torture of Christ and is crowned by a Pietà. The inscription reads: "A (US) THANKS HAT DISES CREUTZ AufGERICHT DER M. AUER GRUEBER HOFFMILNER ALHIE (R) 1671".

The figure shrine St. Maria (locally called "Fraunsaln") stands on the road towards Sopron , where she was erected in 1890. The base inscription reads: "Erected and dedicated in honor of the 'Help of Christians' by Theresia Neuhold, born Strobel in the year of the Lord in 1890."

The single-nave branch church with the western tower was built around 1800. The picture of St. Elisabeth on the apse wall dates from the first half of the 19th century.

The Zeller Kreuz used to be at the cinema crossing , the old town entrance. The pilgrims on foot to Mariazell moved here after the travel blessing in the church. On their return, the pilgrims prepared themselves in front of this statue to enter the church. The wayside shrine shows Christ at rest , the inscription reads “THIS CREITZ HATT MAKE LASEN IN GRESER HONOR OF THE REST OF CHRIST, MR FRANCZ ROHONSY OBR. CELLAR MASTER IN THE CREIZ CASTLE WITH HIS WIFE MARY THE 6TH MARTY 1657 ”. Today the Zeller Kreuz is on the B62 .

The figure shrine (also called Mariensäule in the Hegl ) probably dates from the 18th century. The figure of Immaculata stands on the globe and crushes the head of the serpent, the devil, her head is crowned with stars. The posture of her folded hands is typical of an Immaculata. What is striking about the figure is the lush folds of the robe. There are some inscriptions on the base, but not the date of origin, which can be set in the 18th century. On the back it says: “RENOVIRT AND HIR TRANSFERRED BY THE VICTIMS AND LOVE OF THE MARRIAGES GEORG AND ANNA PÖHM. 1813. “The previous location is unknown.
