Building description

inside view

The single-nave hall church with the choir of the same width and 5/8 end have been preserved from the baroque structure. The front west tower with a stone pyramid helmet also comes from this phase. The nave has four bays with barrel vaults and stitch caps between straps that rest on pilasters . The three-axis gallery rests on a groin vault . On the bulging parapet is the inscription “Ren. 1826, rest. 1956 ”. The cap vault between kinked belt arches in the apse rests on pilasters. In 1928 two groin-vaulted, four-bay side aisles were added - the northern one is extended to the west by an apse - and two sacristies on the choir. In 1973 the church was expanded on the north side with an extension with a high round gable. The mosaic in the gable comes from Anton Lehmden . Furthermore, the sacristies were opened to the side aisles. The main pilasters were supported by thin concrete supports.

Furnishing

In the choir there are colored glass windows by Anton Lehmden from 1975. The high altar consists of a late baroque structure with double columns and a volute wreath around an oval window. On the side are two groups of stucco figures from the fourth quarter of the 18th century by Michael Minich , on the left the “ Sacrifice of Isaac ”, on the right the “Erecting the Brazen Serpent”. The middle group from 1826 represents the crucifixion of Jesus. The baptismal font comes from the 18th century, the organ case from 1820.
