The sculptor's house was built from 1965 to 1967 according to plans by the architect Johann Georg Gsteu for the St. Margarethen Sculpture Symposium . The low rectangular construction consists of quarry stone masonry (sandstone) and concrete, some of which have been preserved from the previous building. Inside, clinker bricks were used for the floors and protruding from the partition walls as shelves for the kitchen and sanitary rooms. The wide cantilevered flat roof protects the house from direct sunlight and creates a covered walkway. |
