List of automotive electrical assemblies

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In order to achieve a better assignment of assemblies , devices or circuit symbols in circuit diagrams , identification letters and numerical numbers according to DIN 40719, Part 2 are used. The component is marked with the appropriate letter and a consecutive number. In the legend for the circuit diagram, an exact assignment can now be made using the identifier. This is a list for a better understanding of the code letters in vehicle wiring diagrams.

  • A - control unit
  • B - converter from non-electrical quantities to electrical quantities (e.g. temperature sensors)
  • C - capacitors
  • D - binary elements, memory (e.g. on-board computer)
  • E - Miscellaneous (heater, air conditioning, lamp, spark plug)
  • F - fuse
  • G - generators , car battery , power supply
  • H - signaling devices (signal lights, control lights)
  • K - relay
  • L - inductance (for example coil)
  • M engines
  • N - regulator, amplifier
  • P - measuring devices, test equipment
  • R - resistors
  • S - switch, button
  • T - transformers
  • U - modulators (e.g. direct current converters)
  • V - semiconductors , for example diodes , transistors or (historically) electron tubes
  • W - transmission path, line, antenna
  • X - terminals, plugs, plug connections
  • Y - electrically operated mechanical devices (e.g. injection solenoid valve)
