List of the Hungarian ambassadors in Germany

The list of Hungarian ambassadors in Germany provides an overview of the heads of the Hungarian diplomatic mission in Germany. The ambassador resides in Berlin , from 1973 to 1999 in Bonn (→ Embassy of the Republic of Hungary (Bonn) ).

Hungarian envoy in the German Empire (1919–1945)

After the end of the First World War, the Karoly government tried to build a Hungarian representation in Germany from former members of the diplomatic service of Austria-Hungary. On January 8, 1920, Paul Freiherr von Forster, the first "diplomatic agent" was notified to the German government. In September 1920, Gustav von Emich, the first ambassador, followed.
