List of Luxembourg chess players

The list of Luxembourg chess players contains chess players who are or were eligible to play for the Luxembourg Chess Federation and who meet at least one of the following conditions:

General

In close chess, four international masters, two women's grandmasters and two international women's champions are eligible to play for the Luxembourg Chess Federation. A grandmaster is no longer eligible to play for the Luxembourg Chess Federation.

In correspondence chess, two Luxembourgish players have acquired the title of Grand Master, four that of an Honored International Master, and one each that of an International Master and that of an International Women's Master. Norbert Stull won the 33rd European Correspondence Chess Championship.

The Luxembourg individual championships were played 78 times. The record champion is Charles Doerner , who won the title eleven times. A separate championship only for women is not played, but Elvira Berend won the Luxembourg individual championship three times.
