Fiona Steil-Antoni (born January 10, 1989 in Niederkorn , Luxembourg ) is a chess player from Luxembourg who also has French citizenship.

Life

When she was nine, her father taught her to play chess. A year later, Steil-Antoni joined the national team and was coached by Vlastimil Jansa from then on . She completed an event management course at London Metropolitan University in summer 2015 with a master’s degree. She has been working for chess24.com since the beginning of 2016.

successes

Steil-Antoni has held the title of International Women's Champion (WIM) since 2010 , she fulfilled the required standards in the women's competition of the Chess Olympiad 2006 in Turin , at the U18 Women's World Youth Championship in 2007 in Kemer , and in December 2007 at the 4th International Open in Vandœuvre- lès-Nancy and in July 2008 at the 7th International WGM Open in Condom .

National team

Fiona Steil-Antoni has participated in all chess Olympiads with Luxembourg since 2002 , playing in the open class in 2010 and in the women's competition in the other tournaments. At the 2006 Chess Olympiad she achieved the best individual result on the second board. In 2011 Steil-Antoni also took part in the open competition of the European Team Championship .
