Outside and next to the board

Jansa is a well-known chess trainer. In the early 1970s, he developed a test to measure chess talent, which he used in young Czech players. This was also printed in the Deutsche Schachzeitung (1973, pp. 127–130). Part of this is the jumper problem, which has to be solved under time pressure. Jansa was the trainer of David Navara , who is currently (as of August 2014) the best Czech chess player. He is also the national coach of Luxembourg. In 2010 he received the title of FIDE Senior Trainer .
