Vladimír Talla (born July 3, 1973 in Ostrava ) is a Czech chess master and chess referee.

Life

Talla received the title of International Master in 2000 . In June 2009 he was named Grand Master on the condition that he achieved an Elo rating of at least 2500. He had met the required standards in the Czech Extraliga 2008/09 and in March 2009 at the European individual championship in Budva . In May 2010 he achieved an Elo rating of 2505 and has been the Grandmaster ever since.

He won or occupied top places in several tournaments: 2nd place in the Proclient Cup in Ostrava (2000), 2nd place in the Třinec -Open (2001), 1st place in the Piešťany -Open (2004), three times 2nd in the Beskydy -Open in Frýdek-Místek (2006–2008), 1st place at the Staré Město -Open (2010).

National team

Talla participated in the 2004 Chess Olympiad with the selection of the IPCA (International Physical-Disabled Chess Association). He represented the Czech national team at the 2010 Mitropacup .

In the Czech Extraliga Talla played in the 1992/93 season for TJ TŽ Třinec , from 1997 to 2001 for TJ Nová Huť Ostrava , in the 2001/02 season for the ŠK DP Holdia Prague , from 2003 to 2010 for IPM Color Ostrava for which he has played again since 2012, and from 2010 to 2012 for BŠŠ Frýdek-Místek . In the Polish team championship in 2009 he played for ASSz Miedź Legnica , in the Slovakian Extraliga Talla played from 1996 to 1998 and from 1999 to 2004 for ŠK Slovan Levice , from 2005 to 2007 for ŠKŠ Dubnica , from 2008 to 2010 for K CERO NŠK Nitra and in the 2010/11 season for the master TJ Slávia CAISSA Čadca .
