Extraliga (Slovakia, chess) 2010/11
The 2010/11 Extraliga was the 19th season of the Slovak Extraliga in chess .
Participating teams and mode
At the start were with ŠK Prievidza , ŠK Slovan Bratislava , MŠK Kežmarok KdV , TJ INBEST Dunajov , SO TJ Slávia Šafárik University Košice , ŠK Dunajská Streda , ŠK Trenčín , TJ Slávia CAISSA Čadca and the SKS Dubnica the first nine of the Extraliga 2009/10 , also due to the withdrawal of the tenth-placed ŠK Zentiva Hlohovec with the ŠK Modra , the ŠK Zemplín Michalovce and the BŠK Edymax Bardejov, three teams were promoted from the 1st division. The twelve teams played a simple round-robin tournament on eight boards.The number of team points (three points for a win, one point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the number of board points (one point for a Winning game, half a point for a draw game, no point for a losing game). The last two were relegated and replaced by the winners of both seasons of the 1st league.

Events
The competitions took place on November 27 and 28, 2010, January 15 and 16, February 19 and 20, March 12 and 13 and May 6, 7 and 8, 2011.
Season course
Everything was decided before the last lap: TJ Slávia CAISSA Čadca could no longer take the title, while ŠK Zemplín Michalovce and BŠK Edymax Bardejov were relegated.
