Extraliga (Slovakia, chess) 2018/19
The Extraliga 2018/19 was the 27th season of the Slovak Extraliga in chess .
Participating teams and mode
At the start were with ŠK Dunajská Streda , ŠK Prakovce , Reinter Snina , ŠK Slovan Bratislava Commander , ŠK Modra , TJ INBEST Dunajov , SKS Dubnica , Liptovská Šáchová škola , ŠK AQUAMARIN Podhájska and ŠK Osuské the ten winners of the Extra League 2017/18 , also were CVC VIX Mladosť Žilina and KSC Komárno risen from the 1st league. The twelve teams played a simple round-robin tournament on eight boards, first the number of team points (three points for a win, one point for a tie, no point for a defeat), then the number of board points (one point for a Winning game, half a point for a draw game, no point for a losing game). The last two were relegated and replaced by the winners of both seasons of the 1st division.

Events
The competitions took place on November 10 and 11, December 8 and 9, 2018, February 16 and 17, March 9 and 10 and April 12, 13 and 14, 2019.
Season course
The defending champions ŠK Dunajská Streda , TJ INBEST Dunajov , ŠK Modra and ŠK Slovan Bratislava fought a four-way battle for the title, which Dunajov clearly won in the end. While KŠC Komárno was prematurely relegated, the decision on the second relegated was only made in the last round against ŠK Osuské .
