Extraliga (Slovakia, chess) 2014/15
The Extraliga 2014/15 was the 23rd season of the Slovak Extraliga in chess .
Participating teams and mode
At the start were with ŠK Dunajská Streda , TJ INBEST Dunajov , the first team of ŠK Slovan Bratislava , Liptovská Šáchová škola , SO TJ Slávia Šafárik University Košice , TJ Slávia CAISSA Čadca , ŠK Doprastav Bratislava , SO SKM Angelus Stará Ľubovňa , SKS Dubnica and second team of ŠK Slovan Bratislava in the top ten of the Extraliga 2013/14 , also of were ŠK Prakovce and ŠK Strelec DNV risen from the 1st league. The twelve teams played a simple round-robin tournament on eight boards.The number of team points (three points for a win, one point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the number of board points (one point for a Winning game, half a point for a draw game, no point for a losing game). The last two were relegated and replaced by the winners of both seasons of the 1st league.

Events
The competitions took place on October 25 and 26, November 22 and 23, 2014, January 17 and 18, February 21 and 22 and March 20, 21 and 22, 2015.
Season course
The ŠO ŠKM Angelus Stará Ľubovňa and the ŠK Dunajská Streda fought a duel for the title. Both teams were tied for team points as well as board points, and since the direct comparison ended in a draw, a playoff over the title was held, which Stará Ľubovňa won. The second team of the ŠK Slovan Bratislava and the ŠK Doprastav Bratislava were determined prematurely as relegated.

Playoff over the title
Since the ŠK Dunajská Streda and the ŠO ŠKM Angelus Stará Ľubovňa were absolutely tied, the two teams fought a playoff for the title. This was held on March 22, 2015 following the last round as a rapid chess competition. Stará Ľubovňa won 5-3 and became Slovak team champion.
