Christopher Repka (born October 6, 1998 in Stará Ľubovňa ) is a Slovak chess grandmaster . He won the Slovak individual championship in 2017.

career

Repka has held the title of International Master since 2016, and he met the required standards in July 2014 at the Slovak individual championship in Prievidza , in January 2015 at the Marienbad Open and in June 2015 at the Mitropa Cup in Mayrhofen . This was followed by the grandmaster title in 2018, and he fulfilled the necessary standards at three grandmaster tournaments in July 2015 in Banská Štiavnica , in April 2016 in Stará Ľubovňa and in July 2017 in Banská Štiavnica. Repka was the youngest Slovak grandmaster until the title was awarded to Jerguš Pecháč (* 2001) in 2019 . For Slovakia he took part in the Chess Olympiads in 2016 and 2018 . In the Slovak Extraliga Repka played from 2010 to 2012 for MŠK KdV Kežmarok , in the 2012/13 season and again in the 2017/18 season for ŠO TJ Slávia Košice , from 2013 to 2016 for the ŠO ŠKM Angelus Stará Ľubovňa , with the He was Slovak team champion in 2015 and 2016 , in the 2016/17 season for the Šachový klub Sabinov and in the 2018/19 season for CVČ VIX Mladosť Žilina . Repka has played in the Czech Extraliga for ŠK Rapid Pardubice since the 2016/17 season , in the Austrian Bundesliga he played for SK Bregenz in the 2016/17 and 2019/20 seasons and for ASVÖ Pamhagen and in in the 2017/18 season of the British Four Nations Chess League in the 2017/18 season for White Rose .

Repka is the son of the Slovak IM Eva Repková and the Lebanese IM Fadi Eid .
