Mikuláš Maník (born May 26, 1975 in Košice ) is a Slovak chess master .

successes

In 1996 Maník won a tournament in Lázně Bohdaneč . In 1997 he shared first place in Litomyšl and Lázně Bohdaneč, in Prievidza he was second. The next year (1998) he was shared winner at the Tatry Open in Tatranská Lomnica , in Pardubice he also shared first place. In 2001 he shared the victory with Tomáš Likavský in Tatranské Zruby , two years later (2003) he was shared winner in Vienna and also in 2006 in Česká Třebová . In 2006 he received the title of Grand Master .

National team

Maník took part with the Slovak national team in the Chess Olympiads in 2002 and 2004 , where he scored 10 points from 17 games. 1999 Maník played at the European Team Championships in Batumi . Between 1995 and 2004 he also took part in the Mitropa Cup five times , his greatest success being second place with the team and winning the individual ranking on the top board in 2004.

In the Slovak Extraliga , Maník played from 1994 to 1998 for ŠK Tatran Prešov , from 1998 to 2004 for ŠK Hydina Košice , with whom he took part in the European Club Cup in 2000 , and from 2004 to 2006 for ŠK HOFFER Komárno , with whom he played in 2006 Slovak team champion was from 2007 to 2010 for the MŠK KdV Kežmarok , from 2010 to 2014 for the TJ INBEST Dunajov and since the 2014/15 season for the ŠK Prakovce . In the Czech Extraliga he played in the 1995/96 season for the ŠK H. Fuchs Ostrava , in the 1996/97 season for the ŠK Pardubice , from 1997 to 2001 for the ŠK Sokol Kolín , from 2002 to 2005 for the ŠK Sokol Plzeň , from 2005 to 2008 for the A64 Hagemann Opava and in the 2013/14 season for the ŠK ERA Poštovní spořitelna . In Austria Maník plays for ASVÖ Pamhagen , with whom he played in the 1st Bundesliga from 2007 to 2009 and took part in the European Club Cup in 2009. Also in the 2014/15 season he was registered in the 1st Bundesliga for Pamhagen, but remained without a job.
