Tomáš Petrík (born October 31, 1980 in Modra ) is a Slovak chess player .

successes

Petrík won the 16th Antonín Vaculík Memorial in 2006 in Zlín. He won the Slovak championship in 2005 and 2006. Since 2008 he has held the title of chess grandmaster , he fulfilled the necessary standards in the seasons 2005/06 and 2007/08 of the Slovak team championship and at the Slovak individual championship in 2006 in Banská Štiavnica .

National team

Petrík took part in the 2006 , 2008 , 2010 , 2012 , 2014 , 2016 and 2018 Chess Olympiads with the Slovak national team.

In the Slovak Extraliga he played from 1995 to 2000 and in the 2009/10 season for ŠK Trenčín , from 2000 to 2005 for ŠK Zentiva Hlohovec , with whom he became Slovak team champion in 2004 , from 2005 to 2009, from 2010 to 2013 for the ŠK Modra and 2013 for the 2016 SO SKM Stará Ľubovňa , with whom he in 2015 and 2016 became champion, since 2018 he plays for CVC VIX Mladosť Žilina .

In the Czech Extraliga Petrík played 2003-2007 for ŠK Trinom Zlín , 2007-2010 for A64 Valoz Grygov , in the 2010/11 season for Výstaviště Lysá nad Labem , in the 2011/12 season for the ŠK Rapid Pardubice , in in the 2012/13 season for ŠK Mahrla Prague , from 2013 to 2016 for TJ TŽ Třinec and in the 2016/17 season for Prestige Photo Unichess .

In Hungary he has been playing for Szombathelyi MÁV Haladás VSE since 2007 .

Since 2018 Petrík has played in Austria in the 2nd Bundesliga for SG Mistelbach / Altlichtenwarth .

Private

Petrík completed his computer science studies at the Comenius University in Bratislava with a thesis on chess engines.
