Rock Antenne Hamburg is a private rock broadcaster for the Hamburg metropolitan region and part of the national rock antenna network. Both Rock Antenne GmbH & Co. KG and NWZ Funk und Fernsehen GmbH & Co. KG have a 49 percent stake and Frank Otto Medienbeteiligungs GmbH & Co. KG a two percent stake in the radio company.

Rock Antenne Hamburg mainly plays classic rock , hard rock and modern rock music . The station is assigned to the AOR format and addresses the 25 to 49 year olds as a target group .
Rock Antenne Hamburg broadcasts news from Hamburg, Germany and the world every hour on the hour. There is also the weather, specially adapted for the FM broadcasting areas, as well as the latest reports from the rock music scene.

history
In December 2017, Rock Antenne GmbH & Co. KG took over 49 percent of the shares in the Hamburg radio station Alsterradio . Alsterradio ceased broadcasting on April 1, 2018. On April 9, 2018 at 5 a.m., Rock Antenne Hamburg started broadcasting.
