Levente Vajda (born February 13, 1981 in Odorheiu Secuiesc ) is a Romanian chess player .

In 1997 he won the U16 World Championship in Yerevan .

He played for Romania at seven Chess Olympiads : 1998 , 2002 , 2006 , 2008 , 2012 , 2014 and 2018 . He also took part in the 2011 European team championship in Porto Carras .

In Hungary he played for Nagykanizsa TSK ( 1999/2000 to 2005/06 ).

In 1996 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM). The title of Grand Master (GM) was awarded to him in 2001. His siblings Albert Vajda (* 1976) and Szidónia Lázárné-Vajda (* 1979) both have the title of International Master.
