Marius Manolache (chess player)
Marius Manolache (born April 22, 1973 in Galați ) is a Romanian chess player .
In 2001 he became International Master , and since June 2007 he has held the title of Grand Master . He achieved the required standards at the XX Ciudad de Ferrol in July 2005, at the Romanian individual championship in 2006 in Predeal and at the European championship in 2007 in Dresden . His Elo rating is 2499 (as of April 2018), which puts him in 14th place in the Romanian Elo ranking. His highest rating to date was 2561 in March 2012. His chess club in Romania is the CS Studențesc Medicină Timișoara .
At the Romanian individual championship in 2006, which was won by Vlad-Cristian Jianu , he finished third.
