Mihail Marin (born April 21, 1965 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian chess player .

He won the Romanian individual championship three times: in 1988, 1994 and 1999. He played for Romania in twelve Chess Olympiads : 1988 to 2006 , 2012 and 2016 . He also took part in five European team championships (1989, 1992, 1999, 2011 and 2015) and in three Chess Balkaniads (1986 to 1990).

In Spain he played for UE Foment Martinenc Barcelona ( 2000 to 2004 ).

In 1987 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM). He was awarded the title of Grand Master (GM) in 1993.
