Petr Hába (born January 6, 1965 in Gottwaldov ) is a Czech chess player .

In 1997 he received the grandmaster title . Between 1988 and 2004, Hába played once for the Czechoslovakian and three times for the Czech national team at the Chess Olympiad , where he scored 17.5 points from 34 games. He played twice at the European team championships . Hába was Czech individual champion twice: in Turnov in 1996 and in Ostrava in 2002.

Hába won or occupied top places in some tournaments: 1st place in Prague (1990), 1st place in České Budějovice (1995), 1st place in Wattens (1996), 1st place in Datteln (2002), I-III . Place in Chrudim (2003), I-III. Place in Pilsen (2003), 1st place in Chrudim (2004), 4th place in Česká Třebová (2006), 4th place in Stuttgart (2006) and I-VI. Place in Česká Třebová (2007).

Hába played in the Czech Extra League from 1993 to 1996 for TJ Bohemians Prague , with whom he became champions in 1994 , from 1996 to 2005 for ŠK Zlín , in the 2005/06 season for ŠK Lokomotiva Brno , his club has been the since 2006 1. Novoborský ŠK , with which he became champion in 2008 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 , 2017 and 2018 . In the German Federal Chess League he played in the 1990/91 and 1992/93 seasons for SG Heidelberg-Kirchheim and since 2001 a total of six seasons for the Erfurter SK , in the Austrian 1st Bundesliga in the 2007/08 season for Union Ansfelden and in the 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons for the Sparkasse Grieskirchen / Sedda Schallerbach syndicate . In January 2015 it was ranked 14th in the Czech ranking. At the European Club Cup Hába took 1990 Univerzita Brno , 1994 TJ Bohemians Prague and from 2007 to 2011 with the first Novoborský ŠK part. His best result in 2011 was third place with the team.
