Season course

The defending champion 1. Novoborský ŠK and the ŠK Rapid Pardubice fought a duel for the title, which saw the 1. Novoborský ŠK only because of the better board points ahead. 2222 ŠK Polabiny had already been relegated before the last round, and TJ Bohemians Prague's chances of staying in the league were purely theoretical (Prague would have had to win at least 7.5: 0.5 against ŠK Zlín in order to win save). However, since the ŠK Zlín withdrew his team from the extra league, the Prague team were still relegated as the best relegated team.
