Extraliga (Czech Republic, chess) 1994/95
The 1994/95 Extraliga was the third season of the Czech Extraliga in chess .
Participating teams
Bohemians Prague , ŠK Dům armády Prague , Lokomotiva Olomouc , Sokol Kolín , ŠK Baník Karviná GRADO , ŠK Sokol Vyšehrad Bismarck , Dopravní podniky Tarok Prague and CSABI Slavia Havířov were the first eight of the 1993/94 season to qualify for the Extraliga the SK ZČE Plzeň as the winner of the 1st česká liga 1993/94 and the ŠK Lokomotiva MONING Brno as the winner of the 1st moravskoslezská liga 1993/94.

Events
The competitions were played on October 15 and 16, November 12 and 13, 1994, January 15 and 16, February 11 and 12, and March 11 and 12, 1995.
Season course
Before the last round, three teams were eligible to win the title. The ŠK Lokomotiva Brno MONING preserved thanks to the better score board the standings and sent the defending champions Bohemians Prague to second place. After the season, however , the ŠK Lokomotiva MONING Brno withdrew its team from the extra league. Since the league was increased to twelve teams for the 1995/96 season, no team was relegated directly, but the last two got the chance to assert themselves in a qualifying tournament in the extra league. Even before the last round it was clear that A64 MILO IPB Olomouc would have to contest the qualifying tournament, while ŠK Baník CSA Karviná GRADO could have achieved relegation by beating their competitor TJ Dopravní podniky Prague .

Qualification tournament for the Extraliga 1995/96
Participating teams
Participants were the ŠK Baník CSA Karviná GRADO and A64 MILO IPB Olomouc , the bottom two of the Extraliga table, the ŠK IWEX Litoměřice second in the 1st česká liga 1994/95 and the ŠK Havřice second in the 1st moravskoslezská liga 1994/95.
Events
The tournament took place from 6 to 8 May 1995.
Tournament course
After only two rounds it was clear that the ŠK Baník CSA Karviná GRADO could no longer qualify for the 1995/96 Extraliga. A64 MILO IPB Olomouc could only have fallen out of the qualifying places in the event of a major defeat against Karviná. In fact, Olomouc secured the qualification with a 4: 4, the second qualifying place reached the ŠK Havřice with a narrow win against the ŠK IWEX Litoměřice . With the withdrawal of the master ŠK Lokomotiva MONING Brno from the Extraliga, ŠK IWEX Litoměřice was also eligible to play as third in the qualifying tournament for the Extraliga 1995/96.
