The 2004/05 Extraliga was the 13th season of the Czech Extraliga in chess .

Participating teams

ŠK Lokomotiva Brno-Slezan (formerly ŠK Hagemann Opava ), ŠK Mahrla Prague , ŠK Sokol Plzeň I - INGEM , ŠK Bauset Pardubice , TJ TŽ Třinec , ŠK Trinom Zlín , IPM COLOR Ostrava , SC A64 Grygov , ŠK signed up for the Extraliga Sokol Kolín and ŠK Sokol Vyšehrad-VISUS qualified the top ten of the 2003/04 season, and TJ Slávie Turnov was promoted as the winner of the 1st česká liga 2003/04 and Slavoj Ostrava as the winner of the 1st moravskoslezská liga 2003/04.

mode

The twelve teams played a simple round-robin tournament , first the team points (2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a defeat) decided on the placements, then the board points (1 point for a win, 0.5 points for a draw, 0 points for a loss).

Game dates

The competitions took place on November 6th and 7th, December 4th and 5th, 2004, January 15th, February 19th and 20th, March 19th and 20th and April 16th and 17th, 2005.

Season course

The ŠK Bauset Pardubice and the ŠK Mahrla Prague fought a duel for the title, which saw Pardubice just ahead. The ŠK Slavoj Ostrava lost all competitions and was determined prematurely as relegated, while the decision on the second relegated was only made in the last round against the ŠK Sokol Kolín - ABNER .
