Extraliga (Czech Republic, chess) 2013/14

The Extraliga 2013/14 was the 22nd season of the Czech Extraliga in chess .

Participating teams

For the Extraliga had with the first Novoborský ŠK , ŠK Rapid Pardubice , TJ Tatran Litovel , Výstaviště Lysá nad Labem , BSS Frydek-Mistek , TJ Slávie Turnov , ŠK Labortech Ostrava , TJ TŽ Třinec , A64 Valoz Grygov and ŠK Slavoj Ostrava-Poruba the top ten of the 2012/13 season qualified, and the ŠK ERA Poštovní spořitelna rose as the winner of the 1st league západ 2012/13 and the ŠK Karviná as the winner of the 1st league východ 2012/13.

mode

The twelve teams played a simple round-robin tournament , first of all the team points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a defeat) decided the placements, then the board points (1 point for a win, 0.5 points for a draw, 0 points for a loss).

Game dates

The competitions took place on November 2nd, 3rd and 30th, December 1st, 2013, January 18th and 19th, February 15th and 15th, and from March 21st to 23rd, 2014.

Season course

The defending champion 1. Novoborský ŠK was in a class of his own, won all competitions and was already the champion with two laps to go. ŠK ERA Poštovní spořitelna was already relegated before the last round, while the decision about the second relegated was only made in the last round against Agentura 64 Grygov .
