International
The Union Internationale de Spéléologie (UIS) is the international umbrella organization for speleologists, founded in 1965.
The Fédération Européenne Spéléologique (FSE) is the European umbrella organization for speleologists, founded in 1990.
Germany
The Association of German Cave and Karst Researchers (VDHK) is the umbrella organization for German cave researchers. Members are the state associations of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Thuringia and "Nord", as well as regional associations, institutes and associations, including the Speleological Institute of the Federal Environment Agency, the Baden-Württemberg cave rescue and many more.
The Cave Rescue Association Germany (HRVD) is a working group of the VDHK in which the cave rescues of Germany have come together.
Austria
The Association of Austrian Speleologists (VÖH) has been the umbrella organization of the speleological organizations in Austria since 1949. As of 2016, the association comprises 26 speleological associations with a total of more than 2500 members as well as 30 show caves.
The Austrian Cave Rescue is the national organization for cave rescue.
Switzerland
The Swiss Society for Speleology (SGH) is the umbrella organization for Swiss speleologists.
Speleo-Secours Switzerland is the national organization for cave rescue.
