List of land monuments in Ettringen (Wertach)
The list of industrial monuments in Ettringen provides an overview of the hallway Monuments ( Flurkreuz , shrines , landmarks , chapels and shrines ) on the boundaries of the municipality of Ettringen and its districts. The metal sculpture of Ettringer artist and architect Rüdiger Scherbaum was unveiled in 1998 and is reminiscent of the merger of the villages Ettringen, Siebnach and Traun Ried for unified community Ettringen in 1978 during the Bavarian municipal reform . Until the construction of the fire station next door, the place was the local storage place for rural drivers . The importance of the monument is explained on a stainless steel plaque attached to the base: "Ettringen-Siebnach-Traunried. The segmental arches represent the three villages as a fused unit. The sphere in the lap of the sculpture embodies the work that has been done and work still to be done within the community. It stands for the perfect and the harmony that should reign among the villages. May 1998 Dipl.Ing (FH) Rüdiger Scherbaum " |
