List of Wutai Shan sites
This is a list of Wutai Shan sites . The mountains (see main article Wutai Shan五台山) in the northeast of the Chinese province of Shanxi are one of the four sacred mountains of Buddhism in China . It is an important pilgrimage site and a much-visited tourist destination. The list focuses on Buddhist sites, especially Buddhist temples .
The temples Xiantong si显 通 寺, Tayuan si塔院 寺, Pusa ding菩萨顶, Shuxiang si殊 像 寺, Luo si罗 寺, Jinge si金 阁 寺, Guangzong si广 宗 寺, Bishan si碧 山寺 ( Guangji maopeng广济 茅蓬), Shifang tang十 方 堂, Dailuo ding黛螺顶, Guangyin dong观音洞 are among the national focus temples of Buddhism in Han-Chinese areas .
Most of the buildings are under monument protection (see Monuments of the People's Republic of China and Monuments of Shanxi Province ).
