Literature Prize Hommage à la France

The Hommage à la France literary prize is a German literary prize that has been awarded by the Brigitte Schubert-Oustry Foundation in Dresden since 2013 under the name “ Hommage à la France” and is under the patronage of the Institut franҫais Dresden . It is awarded to people who have published a book on France or on Franco-German issues and projects. Ingo Kolboom is honorary president and member of the board of trustees .

Brigitte Schubert-Oustry

Brigitte Schubert-Oustry (* 1935 in Dresden), author and journalist, was a foreign correspondent in Paris for 30 years for radio stations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. She was married to the French entrepreneur Oustry and lived most of the time in Paris. In 2013 she established the Schubert-Oustry-Stiftung to honor authors who have written important books about Franco-German relations.

Brigitte Schubert-Oustry was awarded the French Order of Merit Ordre national du Mérite as Chevalier de l'ordre national du Mérite for the work of the literary foundation “Hommage à la France” in February 2020 in Dresden . The award was given by the French ambassador Anne-Marie Descôtes .
