Pascale Hugues

Pascale Hugues [ˈyg] (* 1959 in Strasbourg ) is a French journalist and writer.

Life

Pascale Hugues was a correspondent for the daily Liberation in London from 1986 to 1989 and in Berlin from 1989 to 1995. She has been reporting from Germany for the weekly magazine Le Point since 1995 . She also writes the column "Mon Berlin" every fortnight for the Berlin daily newspaper Tagesspiegel . She also publishes at irregular intervals in the daily newspaper taz and in the weekly magazine Der Spiegel .

1998 her first book was published in France with reports from Germany under the title Le bonheur anglais (Deutsches luck) , in 2008 she published the story of her grandmother Marthe and Mathilde , two Alsatian, almost the entire 20th century side by side in Colmar spent and suffered disadvantages at certain times because of their family ties to Germany and France. In 2013 she published Ruhige Strasse in a good residential area , in which she tells the story of the Jews who were deported and emigrated from Schwäbische Strasse in Berlin's Bavarian Quarter during the Nazi era .

Pascale Hugues lives in Berlin, is married and has two children.
