Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Literature Prize

The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Literature Prize has been awarded since 2016 by the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop , the Literaturhaus Rostock , the Literature Center Vorpommern in the Koeppenhaus in Greifswald and the Literature Council MV eV to the outstanding literary work of authors in and from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Award

Award winners are selected by a three-person jury of experts during the finalists' reading. In addition to the jury prize, up to three audience prizes are awarded. The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Literature Prize includes a free one-month work stay in the Künstlerhaus Lukas with a grant of 2000 euros and a reading tour through literary institutions in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The audience awards are endowed with 1000, 500 and 300 euros. The winners' texts appear in an anthology.
