The Little River is a river in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales .

It rises below the Marembego Ridge settlement in the Byadbo Wilderness Area , a federal nature reserve on the border with Victoria . The river arises at the confluence of the source streams O'Hares Creek and Stockyard Flat Creek on the slopes of Byadbo Mountain . From there it meanders through unpopulated area to the east and finally flows into the Snowy River .
