Little Tahoma , and Little Tahoma Peak , is a by-the summit of Mount Rainier in the US state of Washington . It is clearly visible from the metropolis of Seattle, 95 kilometers away .
geology
The rock is a volcanic remnant and was once part of the Mount Rainier summit area, but has been separated by erosion . Little Tahoma is a brittle rock, parts of which were torn in 1963 by a debris avalanche on the Emmons Glacier below.
